About

I’m Carrie Hirst, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Cumming, GA. I specialize in working with individuals and couples navigating life’s challenges — from relationship struggles and betrayal recovery to anxiety, depression, co-parenting issues, grief processing, and substance abuse.

I believe that therapy is most effective when the client–therapist relationship feels genuine, collaborative, and empowering. My therapeutic approach draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Relational Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), while integrating tools from the Gottman Method, Family Systems, and other evidence-based practices. Every session is tailored to your unique needs and goals, ensuring we move at a pace that feels right for you.

A key part of my work is helping couples improve communication, rebuild trust, and break unhelpful cycles that keep them feeling stuck. By fostering deeper connection and understanding, I guide partners toward healthier patterns that support long-term growth and intimacy.

I welcome clients from all walks of life, including those in LGBTQ+ and non-traditional relationship structures, and I’m passionate about creating an affirming space for healing and growth.
