About

Hello, I’m Zakkiyyah Mitchell. I hold a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and a foundation in psychology that helps me understand the patterns underneath what people say out loud. I am deeply committed to helping individuals, couples, LGBTQ+ clients, and polyamorous relationships thrive.

I am a devoted mother of four and have been married for nearly 20 years. Those lived experiences shape the way I sit with people. I know how layered family life can be, and I know how much courage it takes to ask for a different kind of connection.

Life can feel overwhelming — family dynamics, relationship strain, or the quiet work of becoming yourself. My passion is helping people feel truly seen and supported. I bring a compassionate, judgment-free approach to every session and honor the unique story you walk in with.

Sessions are tailored to your goals. I combine evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with creative interventions that help you connect with yourself and with the people who matter. Whether you want support with personal challenges, family dynamics, or relationship building, the work is collaborative, warm, and practical.
